Soaking Acrylic Nails
When soaking your acrylic nails off with acetone you can do so one of two ways.
Soaking acrylic nails. Use a ratio of about ⅔ dish soap to ⅓ water. Even though there are many ways to take off acrylic nails without acetone these methods are not that effective. Then stick it back in the solution for another 5 to 10 minutes.
You can soak your fingernails in a bowl of high acetone nail polish remover or pure acetone which will essentially melt off the acrylic nails. A cheap and not so cheerful nail salon has opened up locally and they have 5 people popping out acrylic nails every 30 minutes. File the surface of the nail so that you are breaking down the acrylic and allowing the acetone to penetrate.
Once everything is set-up including. Soak 10 cotton pads in acetone and place on the nails. If you feel any problem then soak it one more time to make the process easier.
The other method involves soaking a cotton ball in the acetone or nail polish remover placing the soaked cotton ball on your fingernails and securing them to your nails. The oil and dish soap work together to break down the glue and acrylic from the nail without tearing it. This is why its important to use the acetone on the nails and wait until theyve dried before applying any topcoats or moisturizers.
After about 20 minutes the nails will become loose and you can then remove them. Soak a cotton pad with acetone and wrap it around each nail. Next run an orange stick or cuticle pusher along the edge to get the nail to start to lift.
Acetone-free nail polish removers tend to evaporate after some time. But this method is not effective and does not help in easy removal of acrylic nail paint coat. When you reach this stage use your tweezers to remove the nails gently.
